3-5-21 THOUGHTS

Ps 25:8-14     Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. 9  He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way. 10  All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth  To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. 11  For Your name’s sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great. 12  Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. 13  His soul will abide in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land. 14  The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.

This section of the 25th Psalm shows us several things: 1.  That God is good and right  2.  That God  instructs certain ones in His way (sinners, the humble, the keepers, those who fear Him).   3.  Those instructed must CHOOSE the right WAY.  4.  Promise accompanies right choice.  5.  The fear of the Lord is the starting point to FINDING HIS SECRET.  6.  It is precious to KNOW HIS COVENANT!    

I see a similar passage in the New Testament.
Rom 8:5-9    For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6  For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7  because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8  and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9  However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

We have above the simple truth of God’s plan and the way it works.  A Right Heart will find God’s Rightness!   Right hearts finding the secret,  are the BLESSED WHO KNOW AND KEEP THE COVENANT!  
Rom 8:14   For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

My Prayer:
Help us to keep our hearts O God.  May our minds be spiritual and not worldly.  Lead us with your Spirit O Lord.  May the secrets of your word and mind be ours dear God.  Help us always to chose the right way.  Help us to share your right way with others.   In Jesus name          Amen
